Firm Overview

Sheley, Hall & Williams was formed by Raymond Sheley and Laura Hall in October 2003. David Williams joined in 2010 after having been a partner at King & Spalding, where he practiced with Raymond and Laura. The firm was founded as, and remains, a “boutique” commercial real estate practice specializing in the following areas:

Development of office, industrial, hotel, multifamily and mixed-use retail projects

Private equity investments, including private equity fund formation joint venture agreements and programmatic joint ventures

Leasing of office, industrial and retail space, primarily representing owners, but with an expanding practice representing corporate end users

General real estate legal services for corporate owners of real property, including asset management, leasing and ownership

Acquisition and disposition of existing office, industrial, multifamily, hotel and mixed-use retail projects

Financings, almost exclusively on the “borrower” side, including portfolio financings and subscription lines of credit

Negotiation of hotel management agreements

Local counsel advice with respect to acquisition and financing transactions, including Georgia enforceability opinions
